About
We are not rebuilding the game. We are rebuilding the night.
Life gets busy. People move.
Families spread out. Somebody takes a job in another state. Somebody goes back to the island. Somebody has kids and stops leaving the house on a Friday. None of it is dramatic and all of it adds up to the same thing: the people who used to be around one table are not around one table any more.
The game is the easy part to replace. There are a hundred places to play dominoes online, and every one of them gives you the board. What none of them gives you is the night — your uncle talking the whole way through it, the cousin celebrating five hands early, the argument about a rule nobody has ever written down, the fourth person who keeps saying one more.
That is what PlanetMesa is for. Not a digital copy of a tabletop game. The feeling of being at the table with the people you want to be at the table with — faces, voices, the room, the noise, and the rules as your family plays them.
A domino game is never just a domino game
It is the thing that got everybody in one place. The game gave the evening a shape, and the evening was the point. Dominoes is where PlanetMesa started because it is the clearest example of that — but the idea is bigger than one game, which is why cee-lo is already there and why spades, chess and poker are on the shelf.
PlanetMesa is for anything people used to gather around and stopped being able to.
What we build
The room, not just the board.
Every game on PlanetMesa happens in the same place: a real 3D room with a table in it, with the people at the table actually present — their cameras, their voices, the table talk, the celebrations, the house rules.
That is a harder thing to build than a card game with a chat box, and it is the only part worth building. It is also why PlanetMesa is built for the phone already in your hand: the table is no use if half the family cannot get to it.

Free to play, for real
Every game, rule and chair is free. Money, when there is any, comes from how the table is dressed and from venues — never from who gets to sit down.
No gambling, ever
PlanetMesa takes no bets and handles no wagers. Betting real money on a game is against the Community Guidelines, and poker will be chips only.
Built small, on purpose
A plain stack, no third-party trackers on the game, fonts served from our own origin, and video that goes between players rather than through us wherever it can.
